Terms and conditions of contributions ("Terms")

We are very grateful you have chosen to make a contribution to us, so that we can continue to make resources available to everyone, everywhere, regardless of ability to pay.

We are Raspberry Pi Ltd (“RPL”).

By making a contribution you are agreeing to these Terms.

If you choose to make a one-off contribution, you will only be charged on that occasion. If you choose to make a monthly contribution, using direct debit or continuous credit or debit card, your contribution will automatically renew unless you cancel in accordance with these Terms.

You must be 16 years or older and have the power and authority  to enter into these Terms under any applicable local laws. In addition, by registering to become a monthly contributor, you agree that you have given us accurate registration details, including payment information and will ensure that we always have up to date contact information as and when they change.

RPL reserves the right to refuse and return any contribution at its sole discretion.

We reserve the right to request your full name and contact details; and, request any other information that we consider to be necessary or desirable to determine the provenance of your contribution; and, undertake any further investigations we deem fit to determine the provenance of your contribution.

Contributions to RPL are not charitable donations under the law of England and Wales, and as far as RPL is aware, contributors are not entitled to any tax relief in respect of their contributions nor are any contributions eligible for gift aid either in the United Kingdom or any other jurisdiction worldwide.

Cancellation/Refund policy

Your contribution is made to RPL as an irrevocable gift subject to your rights to cancel or receive a refund as set out in this section.

You may cancel your contributions at any time by accessing your billing history and clicking on "Cancel plan". Alternatively, you can contact us at rpipresshelp@raspberrypi.com.

You must cancel at least 15 days before your next contribution date, otherwise you will be required to make your next contribution payment. You can find your contribution payment date in your billing history.

Is there a cooling off period?

Starting with the day after your monthly contribution start date you have 14 days in which to cancel your intention to contribute and obtain a full refund. When contacting us please include your full name, email address, date of order, and order number.

Any cancelled, returned and/or refused contributions shall be repaid into the account from which the contribution was made.

Confidentiality and Publicity

You may not publicise your contribution or otherwise market yourself or any connected person or business in connection with your contribution, except with the prior written consent of RPL.

Data Protection and Privacy

Information about how we handle your personal data is set out separately in the Raspberry Pi privacy policy.

Exclusion of Liability

Neither RPL nor any affiliated person, employee, agent, officer or director shall be liable for any loss suffered by any contributor or other person arising out of or in connection with a contribution, whether direct or indirect, including loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of business or anticipated savings, loss of use, loss of goodwill, loss of data, and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, except in respect of any liability for death or personal injury or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

General

A failure of RPL to assert a right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason, that provision shall be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent such that the remaining provisions of these Terms will continue in full force and effect.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and RPL in respect of any contributions made by you.

These Terms are not intended to confer any contractual benefit on any person pursuant to the terms of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with it will be governed by English law and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
